Business Analyst to support the HTA (Health Technology Assessment) AI Dossier initiative

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the HTA (Health Technology Assessment) AI Dossier initiative. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, data scientists, AI engineers, and technology teams to define business requirements, optimize processes, and deliver AI-powered solutions that enhance dossier creation, content generation, knowledge retrieval, and evidence synthesis.

The ideal candidate will have strong business analysis expertise, experience supporting AI/Generative AI initiatives, and the ability to bridge business and technical teams within a regulated healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for HTA AI Dossier capabilities.
• Collaborate with Health Outcomes, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and technology stakeholders to understand and improve current dossier development workflows.
• Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and requirement-gathering sessions.
• Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements.
• Support AI use case prioritization and product backlog refinement.
• Develop process maps, business workflows, data flow diagrams, and solution documentation.
• Work closely with AI/ML engineers and development teams to clarify requirements and validate delivered solutions.
• Support testing activities, including UAT planning, test scenario development, and defect triage.
• Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for automation and AI-driven improvements.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Monitor adoption metrics and recommend continuous process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with Lilly's quality, privacy, security, and governance standards.

Top 3 Must-Have Skills

1. Familiarity with AI/Generative AI solutions, including exposure to AI-powered business applications and emerging GenAI technologies.
2. Experience working in Agile delivery environments, with hands-on involvement in Agile ceremonies, user story creation, and backlog refinement.
3. Domain experience in Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Market Access, HEOR, or HTA, with an understanding of healthcare processes and regulated environments.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting digital transformation or technology initiatives.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Strong expertise in business requirements elicitation, documentation, stakeholder management, and process analysis.
• Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, process models, and business process improvement documentation.
• Familiarity with AI/Generative AI solutions, Natural Language Processing (NLP), or knowledge management platforms.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile collaboration tools.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple cross-functional stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Experience within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, Market Access, HEOR, or HTA domains.
• Understanding of HTA submissions and dossier development processes.
• Familiarity with Generative AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI governance concepts.
• Experience supporting cloud-based AI solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Knowledge of data governance, validation, and regulated environments.
• Experience working with global cross-functional teams.
