Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the HTA (Health Technology Assessment) AI Dossier initiative. The successful candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, data scientists, AI engineers, and technology teams to define business requirements, optimize processes, and deliver AI-powered solutions that enhance dossier creation, content generation, knowledge retrieval, and evidence synthesis.
The ideal candidate will possess strong business analysis expertise, experience supporting AI/Generative AI initiatives, and the ability to effectively bridge business and technical teams within a regulated healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for HTA AI Dossier capabilities.
- Partner with Health Outcomes, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and technology stakeholders to understand current dossier development workflows.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and requirement-gathering sessions with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements.
- Support AI use case prioritization and product backlog refinement.
- Develop process maps, business workflows, data flow diagrams, and solution documentation.
- Collaborate closely with AI/ML engineers and development teams to clarify requirements and validate delivered functionality.
- Support testing activities, including UAT planning, test scenario creation, execution support, and defect triage.
- Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for automation and AI-driven improvements.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Monitor user adoption metrics and recommend continuous process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with Lilly quality, privacy, security, and governance standards.
Must-Have Skills
- Experience eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for HTA AI Dossier capabilities.
- Ability to partner with Health Outcomes, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and technology stakeholders to understand and optimize dossier development workflows.
- Strong experience facilitating workshops, stakeholder interviews, and business requirement gathering sessions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting digital transformation or technology initiatives.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Strong expertise in requirements elicitation, documentation, stakeholder management, and business analysis methodologies.
- Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, process models, and business process improvement documentation.
- Familiarity with AI/Generative AI solutions, Natural Language Processing (NLP), or knowledge management platforms.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile collaboration tools.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple business and technology stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, Market Access, HEOR, or HTA domains.
- Understanding of HTA submissions and dossier development processes.
- Familiarity with Generative AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI governance concepts.
- Experience supporting cloud-based AI solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Knowledge of data governance, validation practices, and regulated environments.
- Experience working with global cross-functional teams.
