Data Collection & Annotation Team LeadJob DescriptionIn this role, you will lead a team of five AI Data Collection & Annotation Engineers, responsible for collecting, annotating, reviewing, and validating high-quality image and video datasets used for AI model training and evaluation.You will be responsible for the team’s day-to-day activities, task allocation, priorities, quality, and delivery, while also taking a hands-on role in data collection, annotation, and technical troubleshooting when needed.The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, technical understanding, and the ability to guide a junior team while ensuring that all collected and annotated data meets project requirements and quality standards.The position also includes coordination with engineering, AI, validation, and project stakeholders, as well as basic functional testing of camera systems and Firmware versions as part of the data collection and verification process.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage a team of five AI Data Collection & Annotation Engineers.Plan and assign daily data collection and annotation activities according to project priorities.Monitor team progress, productivity, quality, and delivery timelines.Ensure that data collection scenarios are executed according to predefined requirements and test conditions.Ensure that data annotation and labeling are performed according to defined annotation guidelines.Review collected and annotated datasets and verify accuracy, consistency, and completeness.Perform quality checks and provide ongoing feedback and guidance to team members.Train and onboard new team members on data collection processes, annotation guidelines, tools, and workflows.Work hands-on with camera systems and dedicated setups for data collection under different environments, conditions, angles, distances, and scenarios.Identify technical or data-quality issues and support initial investigation and troubleshooting.Escalate technical issues, unclear requirements, and data-quality concerns to the relevant stakeholders.Support improvements and optimization of data collection, annotation, and quality-control processes.Maintain clear documentation, tracking, and reporting of team activities, progress, blockers, and deliverables.Coordinate with cross-functional teams including AI, QA, Validation, and Engineering.RequirementsStrong familiarity with Windows OS environments -MUST.1–3 years of experience in Data Annotation, Data Collection, Manual QA, Validation, or a similar technical role.Previous experience leading a small team or acting as a technical focal point - Advantage.Strong organizational and task-management skills.High attention to detail and strong quality-oriented mindset.Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.Ability to understand and enforce detailed technical guidelines and predefined procedures.Good technical and investigative thinking with basic troubleshooting capabilities.Experience working with image and video datasets - Advantage.Experience with annotation tools such as CVAT or similar platforms - Advantage.Experience working with camera systems, hardware setups, or Firmware-based products - Advantage.Good communication and documentation skills.Ability to work independently and effectively with cross-functional teams.
