Senior Test Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Test Analyst with strong Oracle Fusion Finance testing expertise to join our testing team. This role will serve as the primary liaison between offshore testing teams and onshore Test Leads, combining hands-on test delivery with test coordination, governance, reporting, and stakeholder communication.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring offshore testing activities are planned, coordinated, executed, and reported effectively while maintaining high quality standards across all testing deliverables.

This role combines approximately 80% hands-on testing and quality assurance activities with 20% coordination, communication, and governance responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Offshore-Onshore Coordination & Communication

• Act as the primary point of contact between offshore test teams and onshore Test Leads.
• Participate in governance, status, and project meetings.
• Communicate testing priorities and requirements to offshore resources.
• Consolidate offshore progress, risks, issues, dependencies, and blockers.
• Provide clear and concise status updates to onshore stakeholders.
• Coordinate and track queries between offshore and onshore teams.
• Ensure agreed actions are understood and executed by offshore teams.
• Maintain efficient communication channels and minimize unnecessary escalations.

Test Coordination & Governance

• Support detailed planning and coordination of offshore testing activities.
• Break down testing scope into manageable work packages.
• Monitor progress against milestones and delivery timelines.
• Identify and escalate risks that may impact testing schedules.
• Coordinate test data, environment readiness, and testing dependencies.
• Ensure consistent quality standards across testing deliverables.
• Review and quality assure test cases and supporting evidence.
• Highlight resource and capacity constraints proactively.

Test Analysis, Preparation & Execution

• Execute and support complex Oracle Fusion Finance test scenarios.
• Review requirements and identify required test coverage.
• Develop, review, and maintain test cases and test scripts.
• Support end-to-end business process testing.
• Identify gaps and recommend additional testing where necessary.
• Ensure accurate documentation of testing activities and outcomes.

Defect Management

• Review defects before escalation to ensure completeness and quality.
• Ensure defects contain sufficient detail to support investigation.
• Participate in defect triage sessions and defect review meetings.
• Identify recurring issues and potential root causes.
• Escalate critical defects, risks, and blockers promptly.

Reporting & Tracking

• Maintain accurate test execution status in Azure DevOps (ADO).
• Consolidate and report offshore testing progress.
• Track defects, risks, dependencies, and blockers.
• Participate in daily stand-ups and status meetings.
• Provide visibility into resource utilization and testing capacity.

Required Skills & Experience

Oracle Fusion Finance Testing

• Professional testing qualification (ISTQB or equivalent preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience testing ERP Financials, preferably Oracle Fusion Finance.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end Finance processes and controls.
• Proven experience in functional system testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing support.

Oracle Fusion Finance Modules

Experience across multiple Oracle Fusion Finance modules, including:

• General Ledger (GL)
• Accounts Payable (AP)
• Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Cash Management
• Fixed Assets
• Expenses
• Intercompany
• Tax
• Budgetary Control
• Financial Reporting

Business Process Knowledge

Strong knowledge of end-to-end finance processes, including:

• Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
• Record-to-Report (R2R)
• Order-to-Cash (O2C)

Communication & Stakeholder Management

This is a critical requirement for the role.

The successful candidate should demonstrate:

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Experience working with UK-based or other international stakeholders.
• Ability to explain testing and technical issues to non-technical audiences.
• Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills.
• Ability to consolidate detailed testing information into concise management updates.
• Confidence in escalating risks, issues, and blockers appropriately.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in large-scale ERP transformation or Oracle Fusion implementation programs.
• Experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) for test management and defect tracking.
• Experience coordinating distributed offshore and onshore testing teams.
• Exposure to Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery methodologies.
