Technical Product Owner

We are looking for a Technical Product Owner to join our R&D team. This role combines deep technical understanding, system-level thinking and full ownership of product requirements — from a first idea or a customer conversation through to a complete, testable specification the development team can build from.The products you will work on use advanced big data technologies and AI capabilities to solve real problems for global customers. You will work closely with development, QA, architecture and product stakeholders in Romania and Israel, in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

In this role you will: 

Take a raw idea, a customer need or a business problem and drive it to a clear, complete set of requirements — asking the questions nobody has asked yet and closing the gaps before development starts.

Define what the solution must satisfy at system level — system interfaces and integration points, data flows, constraints and non-functional requirements — with scalability and reusability across projects in mind.

Translate requirements into clear user stories, epics and technical specifications, with acceptance criteria that QA and development can work from without re-interpretation.

Maintain the product backlog, support prioritization decisions, and keep development, QA and product aligned on the same understanding of scope.

Act as the bridge between customers and the development team, making sure what we design matches what users actually need and what is technically feasible.

Support QA in defining and testing edge cases and complex scenarios.

Drive product readiness — documentation, training material, release planning.

Continuously look for opportunities to improve the product and the way we define and deliver it.

Requirements

B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field

6+ years of experience in a technical role — software development, system engineering, architecture or similar

Experience on high-complexity projects: multiple integrated components, several stakeholder groups, long product lifecycle

Proven ability to go from idea to requirements — you can start from an ambiguous or incomplete input and produce requirements that are specific, complete and testable

Solid technical profile with backend understanding — APIs, data flows, databases, integrations

Hands-on experience managing requirements in an Agile environment (user stories, epics, backlog, acceptance criteria)

Strong communication skills in English, written and verbal

Strong collaboration and facilitation skills across distributed, multi-site teams

A strategic thinker who balances immediate project needs against long-term product direction

Reliable ownership: commits to dates, and unblocks the team quickly when a question is waiting on you

Nice to have

Experience with big data platforms or AI/ML-based product features

Background in defense, intelligence, security or another domain with high requirements-quality standards
