We’re Hiring: Automation Team Lead – based in Tel Aviv  

In this role, you will be responsible for defining the automation strategy, designing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks, and ensuring high-quality standards across mobile applications and APIs. You will mentor and support a team of automation engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive technical excellence while actively contributing to the codebase.

Responsibilities  

• Leadership & Team Management.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of QA Automation Engineers.
• Plan, prioritize, and manage the team's workload and delivery.
• Monitor team KPIs, execution, and quality metrics, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Development, Product, and QA teams to align automation initiatives with business goals.
• Drive onboarding, knowledge sharing, and professional growth within the team.
• Support recruitment, interviews, and performance evaluations.

Technical Responsibilities:

• Define and lead the overall automation strategy for mobile applications and APIs.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks.
• Develop and maintain mobile UI automation using Appium.
• Design and implement comprehensive API automation test suites.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure pipeline stability.
• Perform root cause analysis and support defect investigation.
• Validate data using SQL and MongoDB.Conduct code reviews and promote automation best practices.
• Evaluate and introduce new automation tools, frameworks, and technologies.

Requirements  

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in Automation Development.
• At least 1 year of experience leading or managing a QA Automation team.
• Strong proficiency in Java and TypeScript.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Appium for mobile UI automation.
• Proven experience designing and implementing API automation frameworks.
• Strong understanding of: Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Clean coding principles.
• Web and mobile application architecture.
• HTTP protocol.
• JSON structure and request/response handling.
• Automation design patterns (e.g., Page Object Model).
• Experience with:
• SQL queries for data validation. 
• MongoDB and NoSQL databases.
• Git version control and branching strategies.
• CI/CD pipelines and automation integration.
• Experience with Selenium or other UI automation frameworks. - Advantage
• Familiarity with REST API testing tools (e.g., Postman). - Advantage
• Experience with performance or load testing. - Advantage
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. - Advantage
• Familiarity with cloud device farms or containerized test infrastructure. - Advantage
