Responsibilities:
- Lead HAZOP studies.Coordinate, document, distribute, and follow up on recommendations and preventive and corrective actions identified during HAZOP studies.
- Review engineering and operational changes as part of the Management of Change (MOC) process and provide professional input on process safety aspects.
- Prepare Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in Hebrew.
- Conduct assessments and professional activities in the areas of process safety, hazardous materials, and occupational hygiene.
- Provide professional consulting and support to managers, engineers, and the operational safety team on process safety matters.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or another relevant engineering field – mandatory.
- HAZOP Leader/Facilitator certification – mandatory.
- At least 4 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or operations roles in the chemical and/or pharmaceutical industry – mandatory.
- At least 2 years of experience leading HAZOP studies – mandatory.
- Experience working with hazardous materials, hazardous reactions, and processes involving process safety risks.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in Process Safety and engineering.
- Knowledge of process risk management and risk assessment methodologies, particularly HAZOP.
- Strong analytical skills, including data analysis, drawing conclusions, and formulating professional recommendations.
- Knowledge of hazardous materials, chemical reactivity, prevention mechanisms, and engineering protection and control measures.
- Familiarity with relevant standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements in engineering, process safety, hazardous materials safety, and occupational hygiene.
- Ability to read and analyze P&IDs, equipment and instrumentation specifications, engineering documents, and hazardous-area classification and safety-program documentation.
- Ability to lead HAZOP studies using real-time online documentation systems, including report generation, recommendation management, and follow-up.High technological orientation and strong computer skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders and lead professional meetings.
- Assertiveness, ability to work under pressure, and ability to maintain professional standards.
- Ability to set professional boundaries and make decisions under conditions of uncertainty.
- Ability to work independently and drive processes without direct authority.
- Strong analytical thinking, thoroughness, and attention to detail.

- Hebrew – high proficiency; English – very good reading and writing skills, mandatory.
