We are looking for a OCI Cloud Engineer - Platform & Data Services to join our growing team in the United States!

Role: OCI Cloud Engineer - Platform & Data Services

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud Engineer with strong expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services to support the design, implementation, and management of cloud native solutions. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Oracle cloud services, cloud monitoring, API management, and Autonomous Database technologies. Experience with Oracle AI Data Platform (AIDP) or equivalent cloud-based data engineering and analytics platforms is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage cloud-native solutions on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Support the implementation of Oracle AI Data Platform (AIDP) and related OCI data engineering services for modern analytics workloads, including migration and modernization of existing Databricks-based solutions.
• Configure and implement OCI API Gateway for secure API exposure, routing, authentication (OAuth2/JWT/IAM), throttling, and traffic management.
• Implement and maintain OCI monitoring, Logging, Alarms, and observability services to provide proactive monitoring, alerting operational visibility, and platform reliability.
• Provision, configure, and optimize Oracle Autonomous Database services, ensuring high availability, backup, and operational best practices.
• Collaborate with applications, DevOps, and data engineering teams to build scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions.
• Automate OCI infrastructure deployment using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Ensure cloud environments comply with organizational security and governance standards.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Experience with Oracle AI Data Platform (AIDP), OCI Data Science, or similar cloud-based data engineering and analytics platform (e.g., Databricks, Azure Machine learning, AWS Sage maker).
• Expertise in OCI API Gateway.
• Experience with OCI Monitoring, Logging, Logging Analytics, Alarms, and Observability services.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Autonomous Database, including provisioning, connectivity, security, backup concepts, and performance optimization.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, security, and access management within OCI.
• Experience with REST APIs and API lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or shell scripting.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience migrating workloads from Databricks or similar cloud-based data engineering platforms to OCI AI/Analytics services.
• Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Knowledge of Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or OCI Container Engine for Kubernetes (OKE).
• Understanding DevSecOps practices and cloud security best practices.
• Oracle Cloud certifications are preferred.

Experience

• 10+ years of overall IT Experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on-experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Experience working on enterprise cloud transformation or modernization projects.
