Data Collection Associate

Position Overview

Quality AI is hiring Data Collection Associates to support an AI data collection project in New York City.

You will work directly with research participants, guide them through activities, provide instructions, observe sessions, and ensure data collection procedures are followed.

The role starts at a Meta building, but most of the work will be outdoors throughout Midtown Manhattan. Candidates must be comfortable being outside all day, walking/standing, using public transportation, and working in rain or shine.

Location: New York City, NY – Onsite/Field-Based
Pay: $25/hour
Start: October 21, 2026
Duration: Through December 4, 2026
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Guide and communicate with research participants.
• Explain instructions and monitor activities.
• Follow data collection procedures accurately.
• Track session progress and required information.
• Manage basic devices and equipment.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and escalate issues when needed.
• Coordinate with the project team to keep sessions running smoothly.

Requirements

• Strong communication and people/customer service skills.
• Experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, events, or another people-facing role preferred.
• Comfortable learning and using new technology.
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and adaptable.
• Comfortable navigating NYC and using public transportation.
• Comfortable working outdoors all day and being on your feet.
• Technology/AI experience is a plus but not required training will be provided.

Best fit: Someone who enjoys working with people, is comfortable in a fast-paced outdoor environment, and has an interest in technology.
