QA Test Analyst II

We are looking for a QA Test Analyst II to join our growing team in Burlingame, CA! 

Role - QA Test Analyst II 

Location - Burlingame, CA (Onsite)

We are seeking a candidate with testing experience on mobile or standalone devices (preferably Android-based), as well as web application testing experience. This role focuses on manual testing of functionality for the client's current and future VR products.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Knowledge of working with Android APKs and Android Debug Bridge (ADB)
• Minimum 5 years of QA testing experience

Key Responsibilities

• Provide manual testing support for the client's Android-based devices, including current and future releases.
• Become a subject matter expert and take ownership of assigned features.
• Identify key quality challenges and goals, develop test plans, and write test cases based on interactions with various stakeholders.
• Act as the primary QA point of contact (POC) for a feature or functional area.
• Prioritize test execution to identify issues early before they become significant problems.
• Communicate testing plans, progress updates, and status effectively to QA and product teams.
• Triage reported bugs to determine root causes.
• Drive bug resolution efforts with development teams.
• Identify and implement new approaches for testing hardware in a fast-paced, constantly evolving VR environment.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify bugs through both visual inspection and various testing interfaces.
• Hands-on experience working with Android APKs and Android ADB (required).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an outgoing, collaborative personality.
• Ability to take initiative and own issues through resolution, including proactively removing blockers when possible.
• Experience working in fast-paced, changing environments.
• Strong documentation skills for bug reporting, status updates, and written communications.
• Ability to quickly learn and use internally developed tools.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
